On March 26, the Escouade de protection de l’intégrité municipale (EPIM) sent a written notice to Stationnement de Montréal’s management team, indicating that “this case is now closed and following this investigation, no criminal element was discovered”.
According to the documents recently made public, the investigation involved a possible conspiracy in the negotiation and award of the P$ Service mobile app contract, which has proven quite successful. Stationnement de Montréal would like to reassure all Montrealers that the persons involved have done absolutely nothing wrong, as confirmed by the results of this investigation.
The app was designed in collaboration with TC Media and the agreement with this company includes the sharing of income collected through transaction fees. These fees, totalling $0.40 per transaction, have enabled the app’s development, maintenance and management since its launch in June 2012. Once revenue-sharing and taxes have been deducted from said amount, $0.09 per transaction remains for promotional activities.
