Mobility hubs
What is a mobility hub?
It’s a space that offers transportation services, such as a bike-sharing station, electric charging stations, car sharing and paid car parking spaces.
Most of the hubs are developed in an eco-responsible way with trees and landscaping to help reduce heat islands in the city. They may also include and other mechanisms for rainwater management.
The development of safe, accessible and user-friendly mobility hubs contributes to the daily life of the neighbourhoods where they are located.
L’Agence is putting its expertise in sustainable mobility at the service of the Ville de Montréal to facilitate the equitable sharing of public space and thus make the city accessible to all.
Mobility Hubs Deployment Guide
The Agence has developed the Mobility Hubs Deployment Guide, which aims to provide guidance for the planning and development of mobility hubs. Primarily intended for Agence de mobilité durable de Montréal and City of Montreal professionals responsible for the deployment of these hubs, this guide is an essential tool to ensure the consistency and quality of developments at every stage of each project converting land into a mobility hub. It is primarily intended for planners involved in the design, planning and implementation of mobility infrastructures, guiding them from the initial planning phase through to concrete realization on the ground.
