Secure bicycle parking
Since January 2025, the agency has been running a pilot project to test secure bike parking.
Two lockers with six spaces each have been installed on two lots in the boroughs of Plateau-Mont-Royal and Ahuntsic-Cartierville. The lockers are accessible only to 12 users.

How do the users benefit?
- Their bikes are protected from theft, vandalism and inclement weather;
- They can use their bikes all year round; and
- They can easily store their bikes in any season.
Why test secure bike parking?
- study the ins and outs of operating a secure bike parking service; and
- assess the use of secure bike parking with a view to adding it to mobility hubs.
Toward sustainable mobility
By offering cyclists a safe, convenient way to park their bikes, the pilot project contributes to the goals set out in the agency’s strategic plan. It encourages the use of alternatives to solo driving. It also leverages the agency’s field expertise and operational capacity for experimental projects.
The agency is carrying out this project in collaboration with the Ville de Montréal.
