“The lots located on 6e, 7e and 8e Avenues, between Rue Dandurand and Rue Masson, were showing pavement, drainage and foundation problems. We had to restore them so that we could offer our customers adequate parking. We also made every effort to comply with the requirements of the Rosemont – La Petite-Patrie Borough’s heat island reduction by-law,” explained Jean-François Poisson, Director of Operations at Stationnement de Montréal.

“In October, we will develop the south axis of the lots by adding several trees, conifers and perennials. This greening initiative seeks to reduce the greenhouse effect while considerably increasing the shade on the lots on sunny summer days,” Mr. Poisson concluded.

Since Stationnement de Montréal places a high value on the environment, the organization intends to continue in this direction for the future rehabilitation of its lots in Montréal.
