Montréal, December 5, 2016 – Stationnement de Montréal announced today the new P$ Mobile Service provider, namely Passport, Inc. (“Passport”).

In light of the upcoming termination of its current agreement and in compliance with the City of Montréal’s procurement regulations, Stationnement de Montréal has issued a formal call for tenders.

In order to maintain operations and user satisfaction, the service provider will be tasked with ensuring both the service continuity and evolution of the P$ Mobile Service app.

“Payments made using the P$ Mobile Service app now represent 45% of all on-street parking revenues, compared to 55% for pay station payments”, said Charles Auger, General Manager of Stationnement de Montréal. “Moreover, the app boasts a user satisfaction rating of 84%. With Passport’s experienced collaboration, we will ensure a smooth transition to maintain a positive client experience when launching the app’s updated version in Spring 2017.”

Since its launch, the app’s success has grown exponentially, with over 21 million transactions made. Moreover,
P$ Mobile Service has evolved to feature new functions, such as real-time parking rate and regulatory data on a given parking space, a timer and parking space pre-payment.

Stationnement de Montréal will continue to innovate and enhance its services to keep making life easier for its over 700,000 and growing users. Here’s a glimpse at a few upcoming functions:

● Map-based parking space locator;

● Offer an inter-service payment option;

● Provide compensation for parking through a retailer program;

● Get a discount during special events using a promotional code.
