Starting November 13, two parking lots newly managed by the Agence de mobilité durable will be charging fees on weekdays to ensure a rotation of vehicles and to standardize practices in the area.

The parking lots are:

  •  south of the Verdun auditorium (parking lot no. 436); and
  •  near the Parc Arthur-Therrien chalet (parking lot no. 502).

In addition, the parking lot behind the borough hall (parking lot no. 514) will now be in Pay and Go mode to improve the customer experience. Customers will no longer have to display their receipts in their cars and will be able to pay using the P$ Mobile Service app.

The fees for the three parking lots will be $1.75 per hour or $12 per day, Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monthly permits will cost $85. Evening and weekend parking will be free of charge.

Changes to on-street parking fees

In addition, on November 13 a new on-street rate of $2.50 per hour will take effect from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the following streets:

  • LaSalle between Wellington and Strathmore;
  • Verdun between Godin and Woodland and the beginnings of streets perpendicular to Verdun between Woodland and Willibrord;
  • Place du Commerce between Île-des-Sœurs and René-Lévesque;
  • Galt between LaSalle and Parc J.-Albert-Gariépy; and
  • Gaétan-Laberge between de l’Église and Gilberte-Dubé.

 Parcojour, an option for parking on a daily basis, will also be added near the Verdun Hospital, on Gaétan-Laberge between Hickson and Gilberte-Dubé, on both sides of the street.
